Okay B9. :)

Hello again Random Gang, I'm finally back, sorry. :(

Neighborhood drama going on here.

This family of six total (2 adults and 4 children) are staying with a friend (and her children) who rent a one bedroom apartment where I do. Then the friend decides to have her boyfriend and his kids move in too. So the family with 4 kids who is staying there is being forced out. So there's 4 adults and 8 children in a one bedroom apartment. Virginia Power shut their electricity off earlier today because the friend is behind on her bill and hasn't paid it for a couple of months. And the boyfriend is walking around butt naked in front of the children. Which is totally messed up. So the family who is being forced out and has no other place to go besides a camp ground, showed up at my front door today. I felt really bad for them but I can't take them all in. 8O

They have two dogs who have fleas and the children have flea bites on them. I don't have fleas and don't want them and neither do my cats. I told them they might go to a church for help or assistance. I guess they have already tried social services and are receiving assistance from them but they couldn't help them with their housing problem. I told them it sounds like a good time to go camping. I don't know these people, I barely know their names.

Anyway, I'm exhausted now. :(

So they finally left to see if some other people will help them.

8O Blimey Taupey - I'd have the chains on the door and the lights out by now, and be sitting quietly in some corner!
It's a shame about their situation but I mean, really - 4 adults, 8 children and 2 dogs (plus assorted fleas) in a one bedroom apartment? If they ever thought that was an acceptable situation then they sound like trouble already. I suspect I know the type - there have been a few occurrences of this near me.
I don't know how it works in the States, but wouldn't they already have been receiving financial assistance? If it's anything like ours it will be a state-maintained borderline poverty, but as kids are involved that would have notched up the importance somewhat so I'm surprised they're actually out on the street.

I'm doing well, just got out of class.

French & tap dance, of which I am taking both, will be worth it, but HELL!
