I confess that I still play Gex on a GameBoy Advance if I am absolutely certain that no one is looking.

I also confess that the only reason I ever picked it up in the first place was because people were hurling their GameBoys at the wall in frustration over it, and I had to see what the problem was.

I confess that I must tell you that while the word 'fetish' may be used in a sexual context, that is not its primary meaning, and it is definitely not what I meant. :D

I meant, in a friendly way, of course, #4, the obsession/fixation one.

The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language:

fetish

NOUN: 1. An object that is believed to have magical or spiritual powers, especially such an object associated with animistic or shamanistic religious practices. 2. An object of unreasonably excessive attention or reverence: made a fetish of punctuality. 3. Something, such as a material object or a nonsexual part of the body, that arouses sexual desire and may become necessary for sexual gratification. 4. An abnormally obsessive preoccupation or attachment; a fixation.

ETYMOLOGY: French fétiche, from Portuguese feitiço, artificial, charm, from Latin factcius, artificial. See factitious.

I confess that I do not want to have my obsessions removed either, because I enjoy them, and one of my obsessions is how I get my paycheck, so I really need to have that one in particular left alone. :)

I confess I do not know what it is with shrinks . . .

i confess my obsessions are helpful to me especially my strap one, otherwise i might have been uncomfortable about the harness on my powerchair, as my powerchair dealer said a huge percentage of his clients wind up getting it taken off and wind up having worsening spinal conditions...

i confess i have no need to have them removed

i confess that they could wind up becoming slightly costly when i move out from my parents as i will want to buy lots of straps and blood pressure cuffs

i confess that i wouldnt buy huge amounts of either, just enough to mummy wrap myself

i confess i have Type 1 SID Type 2 SID and Type 3 which my doctor coined the term MSID-NOS (Major Sensory Integration Disorder - Not otherwise Specified)

I confess that i am posting the wikipedia for SID right now...

Sensory Processing Disorder is being used as a global umbrella term that includes all forms of this disorder, including three primary diagnostic groups:
Type I - Sensory Modulation Disorder
Type II - Sensory Based Motor Disorder
Type III - Sensory Discrimination Disorder

I confess that if a post is longer than five inches, I get anxious and may leave unexpectedly.
