Dear Taupey, Why did this group wind up on YOUR front step? Were they just going door-to-door up and down the street looking for someone to take care of them? Every large city in America has homeless shelters, so.....Sylkat :?

My hips / thighs are all covered in bruises. I look like a freaking dalmatian puppy. Need to find something new to do when I am stressed, pounding on the side of my legs is now off the table.

Why is it that no matter how hard I try to not be offensive to people, I still wind up offending someone anyway? This has happened countless times on this website and I'm sick of it.

Dear Idaho Rose, Though we Aspies and Auties become aware that various behaviors and bluntness and off-beat humor of ours annoys or confuses NTs, I would think that members of WrongPlanet would react much differently. If someone has criticized you for something directly attributable to Aspergers or Autism, there MUST be a way to talk this out. We are all here for the understanding and companionship the NT world largely denies us, if I am not being overly dramatic. If I am, I sincerely apologize. Sylkat :?

Hmm, chicken is still a teeny wee bit pink inside. Ah well if you all hear of my untimely death you'll know it was due to salmonella poisoning :P

It's a shame about their situation but I mean, really - 4 adults, 8 children and 2 dogs (plus assorted fleas) in a one bedroom apartment? If they ever thought that was an acceptable situation then they sound like trouble already. I suspect I know the type - there have been a few occurrences of this near me.
I don't know how it works in the States, but wouldn't they already have been receiving financial assistance? If it's anything like ours it will be a state-maintained borderline poverty, but as kids are involved that would have notched up the importance somewhat so I'm surprised they're actually out on the street.

Thank you Cornflake, I agree and I don't know their whole story. I suspect they are running from something to begin with and that's why they ended up here in Virginia and in the situation they're in. I'm done with it and I'm not going to go through today what I did yesterday with the crying and all that. I'm not a social worker and I'm not Mickey Mouse. It's not my job to help the parents with all their problems and entertain their kids all day. I listened to them, gave them my advice and I wish them the best. That's it, I'm done.

Good Morning and Afternoon Guys. :)
