But I can't provide anything resembling a great speech either. I can give a great roar, if that would suffice - or not if it would just scare them away.

I love the water.
Maybe I could kite surf and I'll be sure to catch some air as well as waves.

In the plans for my next book, there's only one guardian spirit so far, and they [the gender ambiguity is intentional] is named Yevayn. [It's from a Russian form of Eve.]
