I dreamt I was locked in a cell and I couldn't get out until I had plotted a scatter graph using data for the annual rainfall of various cities at different latitudes. The figures were all fractional and I was having great difficulty because the increments for the rainfall were in hundreds but the space given to plot them was tiny and I had a very blunt pencil. To make things worse, the bare light bulb above me kept flickering and it was very cold and uncomfortable on the stone floor and I desperately needed to go to the bathroom (which saved me, because I really did need to go to the bathroom)

^ According to the email I received last week, I'm not allowed to discuss my job.
....and that answers that question!

I had a whole dream last night that revolved around me tying knots and none of them would hold. These were the most complicated knots I know and it was a rather frustrating dream.

Knots
To see knots in your dream signify your worries over minor problems and small matters. You may be trying to find a resolution to a situation. It also denotes constraints and restrictions in your thoughts, feelings and actions. To dream that you are tying a knot symbolizes your independent and unyielding nature. You have everything under control. It may also mean a union of two people or a commitment to a relationship as suggested by the coming phrase "tying the knot".

Yes, that's pretty accurate at the moment. Thanks for sharing.

I had a nice little dream tonight. One part of it was me playing a video game. It had a science fiction - cyberpunk setting and was kind of similar to Deus Ex, which is one of my all time favourite games. I played a man who had the mission to cause an explosion in a way so that it would kill a specific group of people. On the first try it didn't work so I reloaded and was about to try again. I think I dreamt this because in the last days I've been reading through the Neuromancer trilogy again, which belongs to my favourite cyberpunk books.

The rest of the dream was connected with it in a way. I think I stopped playing the game because I was invited to some social event. The people from my band and Pen and Paper group were there. I think it was the time around christmas, or another holiday, with lots of meeting people and relatives. Anyway I don't remember what we did but it was fun meeting all those people and, in my spare time, playing that videogame. Felt like I was on vacation, no work, plenty of time for gaming and doing stuff...

I dreamt I was at some kind of eating establishment where the food was laid out on several tables and you had to serve yourself. I put a large piece of battered fish on my plate (which I wouldn't eat irl :eew: ), then a couple slices of cucumber, then a strange fruit that's shaped like a gherkin but coloured like like a tomato. I see some lettuce and I try to take some but it keeps reeling out like it's on a dispenser, so I end up with a sheet of lettuce about 3 ft long which I'm trying to break off with surreptitious little jerks but it's not budging so I have to put my plate down, grab both ends and tear it off. I'm trying to fit it on my plate, but 3 ft of lettuce sheeting isn't scrunching down successfully so I arrive at the counter with a plate of food I can barely see over. The woman at the cash register looks at it and says, "$50."
I say, "But it's all lettuce! I wouldn't have taken so much if you had given it some perforations!"

too bad you didn't have any dream scissors with you. $50 is pretty steep for veggie vittles.

I basically had the same dream I had the night before, with just a few details changed. The theme is lots of food laid out, with some odd foods I've never seen before and I'm putting things on my plate I wouldn't eat. Then there's a quibble about the price at the end. Maybe my subconscious is telling me I need to eat a wider variety of food? I confess I do get stuck eating the same thing every day. I've been having two poached eggs for breakfast for the last two months. Then I have celery and homemade cheese when I get home from work (I don't eat at work). Sometimes I'll have an apple or a banana. Or a spoonful of nut butter. Or hemp seeds with coconut cream. But I don't really feel like eating proper meals lately. I'm also more worried about the cost now our income has halved.

Eating
To dream that you are eating alone signifies loss, loneliness, and depression. You may feel rejected, excluded, and cut off from social/family ties. Eating may be a replacement for companionship and provide a form of comfort. Alternatively, eating alone reflects independent needs. Also consider the phrase, "what's eating you up?" in reference to anxiety that you may be feeling. To dream that you are eating with others signifies harmony, intimacy, merriness, prosperous undertakings, personal gain, and/or joyous spirits. If you dream that you are a picky eater, then it indicates that you are holding back something. If you are currently dieting in your waking life, then the dream may serve to compensate for the sustenance that you are lacking.
Food
To see food in your dream represents physical and emotional nourishment and energies. The different types of food can symbolize a wide range of things. Generally, fruit is symbolic of sensuality, meat represents animalistic desires, and vegetables pertain to healthy pursuits. Eating certain foods also refer to qualities that you need to incorporate within your own self. To dream that you are eating specific cuisines depends on your personal associations with it. If you dream of eating a comfort food, then it indicates that you are looking for comfort in the wrong places. To eat bad-tasting food in your dream indicates some sourness or resentment in your emotional state of mind. To see or eat burnt food in your dream suggests that you are experiencing some intense emotion. The dream may also indicate that you are feeling exhausted. You are running out of fuel.

I'm getting ready for ?something? I'm struggling with brushing my hair, which comes down to my waist, is curly and half blonde and half black (my hair is nothing like that).
I hear a car start up outside. I know I've taken too long and they're leaving without me. I'm running after the car as it goes down the driveway. I'm yelling and waving my arms and thumping on the tailgate but they pay no attention to me and keep driving.

I've made some floats out of balsa wood which I've strapped on my feet and I'm crossing the channel in the river. At first it's ok but then my legs start sinking deeper and deeper with each step.

I'm having a picnic with someone (I never know who my dream companions are) in a park when a parade of people circle around us. They're dressed like a marching band but they're gliding around us like they're on a conveyer belt. I think all this is quite extraordinary so I take my cup of tea, which I soon discover is cold (I remember thinking the thermos must be broken) and I go over to the marching/gliding people. I choose exactly the wrong place to stand because they turn suddenly and come towards me. They're milling around me on both sides and spinning me around and shoving me this way and that and battering me as they pass.

i dreamt a strange dream of water-skiing and being distracted by a woman in a boat staring at me with huge eyes, which made me fall into the water. next thing I knew I was in a forest, and these two Nordic-appearing farmer types [one of 'em was me, I was watching me from about 10 feet away] wearing European farming clothes were facing off against one another in some kind of duel but with no guns, sorta like they were gonna wrestle greek-style, when one of them stepped on a hidden sinkhole and his leg sank about a foot into the earth, that seemed to have broken something inside of him when it became apparent that he was not human but android, and he started deteriorating right before my eyes, his skin started cracking and sloughing off, steam came off of him as he was overheating, his eyes fogged up and distressed electromechanical sounds emanated from his body, and an ominous rising whine reminiscent of a photo hot shoe flash unit got louder and louder. the other farmer [me] was frightened and ducked behind a tree before the android exploded with a BOOM! and scattered shrapnel all about. I came out from hiding and said "PHEW!" but something caught my eye and i turned around and saw one of the android's eyeballs sitting in the dirt staring at me in the same way as that woman's eye stared at me! my frame of reference left me at that point and I was watching the farmer run away in fright. then I awoke. strange, no?
