I've noticed that a lot of WP members have gone silent.

Yes I thought that too recently. Although sometimes lately I have been rather lost for words myself, so other than saying hello I don't always know what to say. :?

Good Afternoon Everyone. :)

I was posting in other WP sub forums this morning and than I got busy. My friends and I went to Tim Horton's and than I started making lunch. I also bought some coloured pastales today. I'm getting back into my art. I need a hobby. :)
This is great Mick. I wasn't aware that you're an artist. :)

I'm doing a mosaic type flower pot with broken dishes craft project (not a kit). I've never done it before so I thought I would try. My mother wants me to make her a mosaic top on a outdoor concrete umbrella table. So I thought I would start getting into it. It's going get expensive. But I love to get creative with different things.

Do you use any other medium for your art Mick?

I use coloured pencils and acrylics.

I'm sorry that your daughter treats you that way. I know that you're in pain and that you're not making it up. My mum always assued me of making things up when I was sick or in pain. I didn't feel that she loved me when I was growing up. It's taken me 5 years to learn to love myself in a way that I've never felt loved by my parents.
Thank you Mick. :) (gives Mick a big hug) I'm sorry to hear you had to go through this yourself. Some people have no idea and are cold hearted and unfeeling as ever when it comes to others feeling pain and falling ill. But yet they can be the biggest babies around when anything happens to them.

Taupey,

I'm so sorry your daughter doesn't believe you... I remember one time my younger brother was sick while my parents were on vacation, and my older sister accused him of making it up when it was really obvious that he was sick for real. I took care of my brother and felt extremely angry with her.

You are like family to me Taupey, so if I knew your daughter I would be extremely angry with her too.
Thank you IdahoRose, you are so sweet. :)

Your sister sounds mean too. I bet your brother appreciated you taking care of him while he was sick and your parents were away on vacation. I'm like you are when someone I know becomes ill, I do everything I can for them. I don't believe in kicking someone when they're down sorta speak and I don't like other's who do that either. I am upset with her and have been since she started acting like this. She's mad because I don't give her extra money (I'm on disability) so she can go shopping and partying like she wants to. She takes after her father who has no empathy or compassion for anyone but himself.

Wow, Taupey. I'm sorry that you are dealing with that. :(

I'm so lucky that I don't have that problem. (Hugs Taupey)
(hugs Kyle) Thank you, Kyle. :)

I too am sorry to hear that Taupey. My younger brother is the same, he only ever sees me on good days and has no idea what my life is really like. When I do try and explain I just get ridiculed and wound up by him.
Keep strong sister. :thumright:
Thank you CosmicRuss. :) I'm sorry to hear about your brother. That's horrible how he acts like that with you.

I don't see my daughter and we don't talk anymore. The last time I spoke with her she got really mad because I wouldn't do something she wanted me to do. So she told me she couldn't wait til I was old so she could put me away in an nursing home. I told her too bad for you I've decided I'm not growing old and you will never have that opportunity.

You all are so sweet and compassionate, I really appreciate your replies. :)

Dear Taupey, You don't need the emotional stress of your family situation. I am glad you have withdrawn from communication with your daughter, there is such a thing as a 'Toxic Personality' and she might very well be one. You deserve a happy life, and if she is an adult, she just needs to go live her own. Sorry to sound mean to her, but you gotta take care of yourself, Taupey, you cannot carry a grown woman. Stay strong, have a great Friday, and show us a picture of your flowerpot! Sylkat
