Ah bless you.
Christmas can be a marvellous time for some people.
I like the lights people put up but not the blue/white ones.
I downloaded an app that cnet recommended on here to help with my eyes.
It really does work well on a laptop. It dims the light and adds amber.

Yeah it's not for everyone is it.
It can be the opposite of happy for some.

I personally don't know why I still have f.lux on my laptop. I installed it last year when I was practicing lucid dreaming and dream control. It was to help me not to stay up late from the light from the computer when I should be trying to practice my techniques.

Most defiantly. Xmas fills me with dread and my anxiety skyrockets this time of year due to the social aspect.

I manage to avoid most people around Christmas.
Apart from this year when I have to go to a friends house.
I won't be there long - I usually eat her food and leave.

I use it to save my eyeballs from exploding.
It is helping me so far.
It is useful to prevent eyestrain in general too which will be handy later on.

There's snow all over here, but it's not very deep yet.

This is a Burdekin snowflake.
Everything here is covered in the stuff for six months of the freaking year.
Our ceilings are full of it and it trickles down the walls.
Clotheslines need to be covered or your clothes turn black.
Outdoor areas and paths get littered with the stuff.

I'd like to have a lot more energy. It feels sort of like I'm fighting quicksand. Not a perfect metaphor but it'll do I guess. Like I'd rather rest here for a while but I feel I shouldn't. I've felt some overwhelm this week but I also have a lot going for me, so I criticize myself for feeling low in the first place. Totally counterproductive to criticize feelings, I'd never criticize anyone else's, and yet the self-critical thoughts are there in my own head. If I were talking to a therapist right now, someone accepting that is, I think they would tell me I could take some time to feel the emotions bringing me down. If I keep forcing them aside to do this task or that task, I'll just keep feeling them in the background.

Any thoughts? Words of encouragement? Validation? :)
