I’m so new here that I haven’t had the chance to offend anybody. But I suspect it’s unavoidable, and then this will be the only thread available to me.

I prefer to think of it as "writing such a good reply that nobody can think of anything else to say." 8)

I recognize the Benny Hill avatar. I remember in a thread about political correctness, you posted an image that quoted a British actor. It was spot-on in it's ridicule of political correctness and censorship.

It was speedily deleted for using bad language. Which proved your whole point. And I don't think the mod who deleted it even picked up on it.

So, in my book, that was brilliant.

It's pretty simple - all posts are subject to the site rules and if someone doesn't agree with those, then they shouldn't post here.

Stopping in to wave at you guys before a somewhat hasty  exit. Exeunt. Departure.
Tenpence, I have been traveling in my vehicle (from southwest to northwest and back again) and have seen soo many cones. They seem to like springtime. :)

Dear Alpineglow,
The colors in your avatar are almost iridescent; lovely!

Your little creature (mouse?) on the plant is always refreshing and uplifting to see, no matter how many times I see it, it seems to say hi.

You are quite talented!

Sylkat, you are kind to call me talented.
It was from my painting app on the ipad, which I enjoy playing around with - copied from my painting of a sunrise in Montana this February.
I'd be happy to send a PM with a link to a higher resolution copy, if only I could figure out how to do that.

I have no idea how people view me here, or anywhere else, for that matter. Too many times, I've been told, stop making so damn much sense. I've tried playing head games in the past, and never liked doing it. I can see people's point of view, but I'll be damned if I understand them. Hell, I don't even understand my point of view, as if it matter to me or anyone else. As for mind reading, forget it, because, in my not so humble opinion, that concept does not exist.

I haven't been in a movie theater since Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country came out. Theaters nowadays are too damn expensive. Besides, that same film will be out on DVD and streaming video in about a year after the initial release.

I feel I'm missing something here. :duh:
I wonder why people tell you to stop making sense?
What do you mean by head games - now I am wondering if by quoting me you mean to say it seems I was saying something more than on the surface? I do not know how to play with words that well, I'm sure there are people here who are skilled at that, but I am not one of them.
Sylkat, as you are a wise person, please what's your opinion on 'head games'?

Hi alpineglow! I'm with you about that quoting of your message by someone else. I have no idea what it's supposed to mean. I thought maybe I was too stupid to understand it or something. Now I know I'm not alone.
