Both of my kids have been sick this week, and now I have a sore throat and an earache. Nooooo! I have things I need to do! Why do I have to get sick on my break in between classes? Nine days off, and I'll probably be sick half of that time.

Bleh.

My birthday is in February, and I'm often ill then.

My birthday is December 27, so I am almost always sick then because I've been around germy folks at Christmas. I get flu shots now so I don't get the flu for my birthday, just regular colds. Still no fun.

I can remember several serious illnesses on my birthday:

1976 - abcessed tooth, penicillin shot (I was 6 and I still remember that shot in the butt!)

1993 - strep throat, fever over 104, thought I was dying in the emergency room

1997 - flu kicked in when I went out for my birthday, at a club, wasn't sick from drinking that time

I hate my birthdays.
