I will rephrase my original comment and make it sexist - a man would never get away with wearing a cardy like this today ( I used to wear big shawl neck jumpers - what was I thinking )

It was, in a way, much easier to get along back in the 1970s. You didn't have to walk on eggshells in case you were accidentally "offending" someone.

In a way, though, society wasn't as advanced as it is now. Racial prejudice was tolerated. If a black person got set upon by a gang of white people, it was seen as being "status-quo," rather than the big news item it would be today. That would never have made the news in the 1970s.

Yes cardy is a cardigan.
I am a fan of these if they have pockets.
Inc sleeveless ones.

I only use stock if I am making homemade soup - which is much nicer.
No, I am having a tin of beef and veg soup. With dry toast - I have got used to it dry now.

I can't deal with dry toast; it irritates my throat.

My throat is too much of an SJW these days; it gets irritated by everything....

The dry toast gets dipped in the soup making it soggy.
I break it up like croutons too.
I am off air for a wee while to eat and watch tv.
