I couldn't tell you if something was Fruedian or not , it was just a first thing that came to my mind.

Because we care so much if we offend a special snowflake. Where as back then, they got over it. Take feminism for example and I am not saying women shouldn't have rights but some take it too far and earn snowflake status. You can't become so political correct that it becomes a double standard. If females want special treat under feminism, then everyone else deserves special treatment too under whatever special snowflake machine they walk under.

I don't get it. Why should we only respect feelings we understand? And I've never understood the term special snowflake.

Its about equality so not so much respect but prejudiced disrespect based on what someone can't control.

Do women want to be equal or do they want special treatment is my point, do blacks want to be equal or do they want special treatment? And so on and so on. Women shouldn't have respect based on being a woman alone, nor should blacks, nor should the disabled. However, its unfair to be prejudiced based on such facts. If these groups want special treatment, why not just have autism income, and black income and woman income and gay income. We go that route and we're getting close to communism. Even without basing income on it, they idea of special treatment begins to lean towards inequality which is not what anyone wants or should I say, not want anyone wants when they see the end goal on society.

I don't feel like arguing right now. I'll have to do some more thinking about this. But I don't see how it connects to the words "special snowflake".

And I don't think people should get special treatment; they should be respected regardless of gender/race/etc.

Fair enough, but respect is earned not given so, the baseline for all those groups starts at a flat zero.

Prejudice is bad,
Neutral is baseline
Respect is earned
