"You need to make a follow-up with your doctor for the ER visit," or how about I don't, and we say I did, and you just give me the f*****g gastro appointment. I don't need to talk to my doctor about the same s**t I'm going to talk to you about. You only want me to do that because my problem involves alcohol misuse.

I've made peace with my 1940s ways enough to use my favourite avatar once again.

I was talking to the maintenance supervisor yesterday and mentioned that it seems like my manager doesn't want me to be a utility worker, and that if she doesn't let me apply for the position when one of the UWs becomes a tech that I'll have to look somewhere else. He got a really displeased look and started urging me to apply for the Technician 1 position that's open, because they'll make me take a test and can see how much I actually know. I don't think he's understanding that I need a drivers license for both positions though, so I'm not qualified at all yet and it doesn't matter how much I know. I might apply anyways though and see what happens.
