I love big bottles of water. The bottles are worth more. :)

Yes, a wolf. I walked out of my apartment one day and a huge dog walked past me. I knew it was a wolf, but I told myself that it couldn't possibly have been one. When I described it to people who had been living there for longer than me, they told me it was indeed a wolf. I later found out that it's common to encounter wolves in the city in Nevada and California. I've since seen videos of wolves crossing the street in downtown Los Angeles. I don't know if they'll attack you out in the wild, but in the city it seems you have nothing to worry about. The one I saw looked more scared of me than I was of it, and I've been told that that's usually the case.

I started a new account due to a dire situation at home and the need to hide. I don't know why I'm paranoid, but I just want to be left alone.

I just got back from checking out a new bulk food buying co-op that is being started up in my city.

With all these news stories about deer and moose and bears walking into cities, I'm going to be very disappointed if I die without ever walking into a grocery store and seeing a buffalo or something. I did encounter a wolf in Reno, but encountering wolves in Nevada and California is like encountering explosions in Michael Bay films.

Hm. I lived in California for 3 years and I've visited Nevada at least 5 times and I've never seen a wolf O.o I'd think coyotes are much more common than wolves in that climate. Unless you are grouping them together? Still, I've never actually seen a cotoye, which is a bit odd considering I grew up in the desert. Seen plenty of scorpions and quail, though :D

And I am glad to see Strapples around, I was just thinking about him earlier today :)

Nope. I moved to Oklahoma, and there are coyotes out here, and they're certainly unique enough to tell a difference. Do a Google Image search for "wolf" and that's pretty much what I saw in Reno. I didn't think it was all that common until I saw a video on TV of wolves crossing the street in downtown LA, and my parents, who lived there years ago, told me it wasn't out of the ordinary.

Very interesting. I grew up in that area (Arizona) and I definately heard more about coyotes in the media and heresay than wolves.
