I was just having a conversation regarding voyageurs stitching up their only shirt, or pants, on their years’ long trapping trips in the Canadian north. Fishermen are known for stitching as well, when mending nets. Leather workers stitch. Finally, I am certain I read of a culture in which men knit. Perhaps one of the far north peoples who have little do do all winter when it is dark 23 hours a day?
What did I achieve? Vacuumed the office rug. Put together a twig stove. Various work stuff. Attended a zoom meeting about how to legally spend the $157,000 grant I’m getting for my employees. That last wore me out so thoroughly, I took a nap, zonked out for nearly three hours!
