here is a majorly popular nursery rhyme which almost every english speaking person knows.
i absolutely can not understand why it is renowned or even what it is supposed to mean beyond the face value of the words which are just as mundane as can be.

medieval person wrote:
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.

why would they go up hill to get water?
usually there are better reserves of water down hill, unless those reserves are polluted which may force one to go upstream to source clean water.
did they start their journey with an empty pail intending to fill it from a reservoir, or did they embark empty handed on a mission to fetch a pail that was already full of water that was located up the hill?.

who knows?
no body seems to.

medieval person wrote:
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

well there one goes. there is no description as to how jack came to fall down, and no explanation as to why jill suffered the same fate very soon after.

maybe this nursery rhyme is some sort of coded medieval protest at an an absurd state of affairs, because otherwise it makes no sense at all.

medieval person wrote:
Up Jack got, and home did trot,
As fast as he could caper,
To old Dame Dob, who patched his nob
With vinegar and brown paper.

obviously jack did not sustain any intracranial injury (not even concussion (which leads to the suspicion that this is not a literal nursery rhyme)) or else he would not have sprung up and ran off.

i do not know what the significance of "vinegar and brown paper" is, but it sounds to me like a cheap and untrusted old wives tale remedy that was seen as cheap even back then.
Funny but true. :D Good Evening B9!

Hello Identity, Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to you too. :)

I'm doing fine though my heel's a little sore. I've got to use less stationary machines when I'm working out and stay off the treadmill. I can handle the weight machines, but the treadmill does me in.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've heard you talk about soaking your feet, is it for your heel? Do you have a bone spur if not what happened to it?

*waves at Kyle* :)

I saw this last night in a magazine they send me and thought of you Kyle and Mick because she sometimes does this for extra money. I think it would be great for driveways but maybe not for tighter areas. What do you think guys?

here's the link in case it doesn't work again. http://www.lehmans.com/store/util/enlar ... 4760_2.jpg It cost $129.00 I think. I also think it's too expensive.

I have tendinitis just above my right heel.

I've just realized that now that my customary snack of peanut butter and almonds has replaced my lunch, I'm eating probably the most cheaply that I can :P
The peanut butter is provided by work and I just throw a handful of almonds on it from my bulk Costco package.

Excellent.

I'm sorry to hear that Mick. I know what it's like for something to hurt a great deal and how it makes normal everyday tasks no fun at all.
