I don't have the thinking capacity to care for everyone.

I'm sorry, Temeraire, but I can't achieve mindfulness at all. :(

How are you going to know that the girls who you had a crush on really are "the one"? I'd just give up that completely and move on despite thinking of "what if?" situations. Besides, the moment you do make it in life she'll probably be happy with another man. I think we should go with the girl we find when we are fully enriched and happy instead of the girl when we are struggling.

I am unable to find any sort of happiness. Nothing has gone my way whether it's been education, hobbies, and social interactions.

Then I think how you can achieve happiness is to give people the right to be an a**hole to you while at the same time ignoring it and moving on in life. You were born with the label bullshitter like I was too, so we have to cope with it in life.

I know it takes a lot of time and effort.
I am not surprised it feels as though you can't do it.
Especially as you are feeling so down and defeated.
Just breathe Marknis, just breathe. That is a start my lovely. :)

Even for a few short seconds? That's all I could manage at first a few seconds before my mind wanders but with practice you can achieve longer and the aim of mindfulness is knowing that your mind has wandered and bring yourself back to the present. Think of your attention as a muscle , the more you exercise it , the stronger it will get.

Although to be honest , I find mindfulness easy when I'm alone but in a social situation which brings me anxiety , mindfulness goes out the window , I cannot do it when I need it most

I found the easiest way to start was to just focus on my breathing.
Listen to the noise it makes and the way it feels in my body etc.
Not to try and do anything but to just be with the breathing.

(thanks for the monkey tip off Mr Ferris)

I was just thinking in general of all the ships that poseidon sent to the depths - not anything particular which can be googled. It was your description which prompted me. :)

I was thinking about you earlier and how you started this thread which has become a lovely social place to relax.
Did you ever think it would become this big ?
