Same here. I almost feel like I shouldn't post here because I feel the pressure to conform and I just don't see the point in salutations and farewells online.

I mean, I'm not meaning to sound like a 'bag or anything, but I'm just confused as to how/why this thread has become what it is.
I guess I just haven't been around enough lately to notice it evolving.
It's fine, though; just different. I miss the old version.

It still is a "say something random type thread" and I don't think anyone is offended if you don't say good morning, hello and or whatever greeting you can think of. So please don't feel pressured or feel that you have to conform, because you don't. There are some of us who say it because we like to say it to each other and so we do.

Actually I know what you mean jmnixon swbluto and I am aware I have been guilty of doing it myself (although guilty isn't really the right word). I suppose I was just trying to be friendly to people, it seems not many go into the chatroom so this thread is really the only other place to chat to people.

But yes I see what you mean, I quite like the old version aswell I think and to be honest have been finding it awkward recently.

Hey Identity. I don't mind going to the clean chatroom and saying it instead of saying it here. I've only started going there recently. We use to have a greeting thread in this part of the forum. I'll look it up and give it a good bump and we could use that too.

I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable by saying good morning or whatever to them. I just didn't want them to feel left out by me saying to some but not to others. Unless I already know from experience that they don't want me to say that to them or I get the impression they don't. I'm not into that insecure, childish and immature "I'm not talking or replying to you because I think I'm better than you" BS like some I've noticed are on here since I've come back to WP. No one is better than anyone else here, we're all human beings.
