Friday night is not a good night for me to have my patio door open. All the kids are out and I don't want to listen to the garbage that's coming out of their mouths. They also have fireworks, since Halloween was only 4 days ago.

Had a band practice tonight. Went real well. We've got a performance coming up, and if we can play like we did tonight then it should all be fine.

So Brit's enjoy fireworks for Halloween? That's interesting because that doesn't happen in America. It's just candy and Halloween decorations, here.

I had no idea that people up in Canada celebrated Halloween like we do until I heard you talking about it last week. It's weird that I never knew that because I have been to Canada so many times I lost count and I've known and been friends with many Canadians. I spent many summers in Canada and we would go up there for this or that because my grandfather owned lots of land up there. When I was a child, I always told people I was going to move up there and live when I grew up.

It originally started in Ireland. You should google it, it's fascinating.

We've celebrated Halloween for years. Probably not as long as Americans. It used to be a fun night and now it's become a very stupid and dangerous night. Kids see it as an excuse to cause trouble and wreck it for everybody else.

CockneyRebel is a Canadian, in Canada.
Meanwhile here in the UK we're entering The Noisy Zone - Guy Fawkes Night on November 5th.
That's the main excuse, although on Diwali (October 26th this year) there are usually a few being set off.
Halloween here is a fairly weak attempt at importing the American version lock, stock and barrel - so no fireworks.

Argh, moving. We have all the little stuff over there, but tomorrow we have to get the big stuff over there, and the cable and internet service. 8O

The reflection of my snake light looks like shiny little cats eyes in the reflection of my TV set.

Thank you for the clarification.

I listened to classical music while drawing My Little Pony fanart. The one time when it wouldn't feel silly to listen to bubblegum dance while drawing, and I wind up listening to stuff that's way too sophisticated. But come to think of it, I don't think the music I listen to ever really matches the subject matter of my drawings... :P
