Oh well. You don't know what it is like to be an outsider unless you're a Finn living in a remote corner, trying to say something in a predominantly American forum. It's not the forum's being American, I have nothing against this fact. It's just... it's useless even to try to describe it.

That's why I concentrate on finnish "sites", my friend :)
And that's why I moved to south. Now I'm not "the only gay in the village" :D

It's the new point of view that I'm mostly after at WP and I have read some great stuff that has helped me a lot. Just have to keep in mind the cultural differences.
But all in all, being autistic is quite a lonesome job, at any point.

The funny part of that Little Britain sketch was that he wasn't the only gay in the village either. Even Myfanwy was gay.

Hello halfandhalf. Welcome on in. :)

I'm feeling rather unpopular... but to feck with it.

Yup, that's my point :) Even tho I knew I wasn't it still felt like it (I know it doesn't correlate 100% to the idea of the sketch). Here, in a bigger city I have an increased chance to bump into someone who feels even distantly similar to me. At least I hope so. Although it requires me to get out of my flat to meet people. Well, didn't say it was easy.

Have you tried looking on the Intermong? You may well find meets already taking place (both autism/Asperger's ones as well as ones for social anxiety - if you're socially anxious - and those that are relevant to your interests). It's worth looking into at least.

I know there's at least few asperger-groups nearby, it's just that I have to aspergize my brain into it :) It's a new thing to me anyway (knowing that I actually have aspergers) so I'm a bit confused and abashed about it. Not that I felt "normal" before :D
I'm not socially anxious (not anymore that is), just getting frustrated with people really easy. I guess I'm a bit afraid of not fitting there either.

I'm curious about Intermong, too.

Hi, Teq, more food pictures would brighten up my day!

Dunno why I'm posting here, but I'm not sure where else to. I feel like I'm regressing in quite a big way at the moment. Pretty soon I'll be too scared to post again. Nothing to do with my unpopularity though

Wow, this is an excellent thread to make! People ignore me on a daily basis at school, so I know what it's like to be ostracized (as I'm sure most of you know too). Great idea!

I thought it was just me, some times I feel invisible, then I say something I shouldn't that seems to get the party started lol

Hi. I told myself I'd come around here eventually, and now seems as good a moment as any.

Sometimes those regression cuales happen, at least to me :(. Is there anything you can do? I've found it's easier to stop the process on its tracks than to try to climb back up, although I wouldn't know how it would work I'm your case

Maybe I'm terribly tired after 300 miles and 18 hours, but what's the difference between the two?

Speed? xD
I remember traveling somewhere, 22 hours on a bus, but going back the same distance in airplane, which took less than one hour. Being stuck a long time in a bus sucks though, when I must do that I bring a good, long book and stay awake the night before so I can sleep
Are you going somewhere or back from somewhere?

Haha no the car journey home was split into two. The first 120 miles took 2 hours, and the remaining 200 miles took 4 hours or so. I had been up 18 hours when I wrote that though.

I brain-farted on that one, 300 miles can't take 18 hours unless exceedingly heavy traffic or something  what was I thinking of!

Anyway, if you had your sleep then you probably feel better now :)

Well, walking that far must take a while. lol
Physically, I feel better as much as what is possible
Though with regard to what I said in the first place, it's more depression with little bits of regression. Though, generally I do feel like a shadow of what I once was

Yeah, I know what you mean. Good luck with that.
