I don't think I could do it.

There are so many diets out there now and it can be confusing.
I have cut back on naughty food and reduced my calories.

Cutting down on sugar is key.
Or cut it out altogether.
You really do lose the taste for it after a while.
I tend to crave cheese instead of sweets.
When I do eat something sweet, it's kind of sickening.

Alcohol was my downfall.
Still is sometimes. :(

I have a weakness for honey, maple syrup, and rice syrup [usually baked into desserts or on porridge or pancakes/waffles/french toast in the case of maple syrup, since regular sugar makes me sick.

I can avoid the sweet stuff more easily than cheese too.
It is my bedtime now and I hate to say goodnight but alas I have to.

Thanks for the chat - it has been lovely as always.
Have a good sleep yourself later - I expect you will be exhausted.
Night night.

^ Thank you too for the distraction, and good night.
I realise my conversation has been a bit clunky.

I'll be sure to rest this afternoon.
Haven't done much this morning either, apart from a little gardening.

Regular sugar seems to have that effect on me too now.

Someone has a thread asking if attractive people make you depressed.
What a concept.
Why would they?
Unless they're very nasty attractive people.

To be eaten by sheep.
Yikes.

That's because it gets enough sleep.

So I went to the clinic, out in the 36 degree heat and 100% humidity to be told the machine was broken and they were "just about to call me."
Then the nurse said they can't cancel my appointment without the oncologist's approval, but he was off site and they couldn't contact him, so I could either wait a couple of hours for the machine to be fixed but they couldn't guarantee I would get in, or come back at around 7pm tonight and wait but I might not get in, or they could make me an appointment on Wednesday afternoon and extend my treatment into the fourth week (with/without the oncologist's approval??)
And apparently the new clinic has the machine from the old clinic that used to break down all the time.
That's just great.
I was anxious all day for nothing, now I'm going to be anxious for the next two days. :(

It's when your salt turns to sludge in the shaker and water in the air starts condensing and dripping down the flyscreens.

OH Schit balls Raleigh.
Being turned away after all that anxious energy you lost.

My friend was just moments away from her op - she had the gown on and wrist band. They told her there was no bed for her so she had to go home not knowing when she would get another date. She has stage 4 ovarian/lung cancer. This was in November and she still hasn't been given another date - they just continue her chemo instead.

I was so angry when she told me. She is supposed to be a priority and fast tracked for everything. She has responded to the chemo too which is marvellous. What a cock up. Just one moment of admin chaos.

I know machinery goes wrong but hey, at the very least they could have a plan for that and know what to do. I am sad and angry for you Raleigh. :( :x
