A flirting plant? Now I've heard everything. :P

How else are they meant to be taken home?
They are very much aware of their existence and know how to use their best assets.

I also bought 2 bags of manure.
That's not so fresh.

It's not as humid today, but still warm.
Our promised storm missed us yesterday but took out power south of us.

I'm slightly impatient for spring. I want to plant some flowers.

We could do with a bit of warmth here.
I am getting fed up waiting for gardening weather.

I am off to bed soon. I didn't get much sleep last night.
Perhaps I will dream about flirty plants and stinky poo manure?

What flowers do you have in mind, Kura?

I'm getting ready to plant up my vegetable garden.
You can't plant much during summer here because plants burn off in the heat.
I have a few pumpkin vines and tomatoes and that's about all.

Lilies and daffodils are my favourites. Maybe some pansies or sweet peas. The thing is, I might hold off on planting this year, because we might be moving, and I'd rather plant new seeds in a new place than have to leave behind old plants in an old place.

^ If you plant bulbs you can dig them up and take them with you.

Or maybe you could plant them in pots.

I never thought of that. Though if I planted them in pots inside, I'd have to make sure Boo didn't try to eat them.

I was looking through a seed catalogue, just to look at the pictures. So beautiful.

^ yes, many plants are toxic to cats, so you'd have to be careful.

I'm growing some nasturtiums.
They're edible, you can put them in salads.
Also butterfly flowers (can't remember their true name).
I'll have to post a pic of my ginger plant too.
It has lovely purple flowers like bunches of grapes.

Hello.

Have I missed everyone?

I adopted a new plant that was flirting with me at the hardware store.

Same thing happened to me at IKEA a couple months ago. There were about ten baby trees on clearance that were very thirsty. It's a southern evergreen with short soft needles so it gets pet a lot. I'm keeping it inside until it's big enough to withstand the mild winter here. I set it up with a wick water system because I'm soooo bad at remembering to water things and it works out great.

Kuraudo: You can plant things in a pot and then put the pot in the ground so you can easily pull it up or just leave the pots outside if they're not boo friendly :)
