My mind took me in a different direction , not so long ago in the Houses Of Parliament an MP got into trouble for using the term Nitty Gritty as it was considered racist due to it's connotations to the slave trade

If you're referring to that idiom there are many ways of being attractive than being deep, tall, dark, and handsome.

I'm short and medium. My "handsomeness" varies from day to day.

Kraftie, as someone who is dark and tall I believe what truly is attractive not sure if most agree with me, but I believe it's being pleasant.

It depends on the person , people can be shallow and sometimes it's all about aesthetics , for others it's personality , and sometimes you can't quite put your finger on why you find someone attractive.

Is Boo Kura's cat?

Or are you talking about Face of Boo?

Also: I think "pleasantness" makes people more attractive. I've known some ugly models in my time.

You have a steady job, which many people on the spectrum don't have.

It's still not a job I enjoy. It also takes up a good portion of the day and once I am out of it, I am mentally drained from constantly thinking about how I am so far behind my peers, my dreams are unreachable, and I am stuck in a rut until I exit.

I don't even try to engage in my hobbies anymore. I sometimes think I should just throw away my guitar and trash my drawing supplies because I am past the age where I can actually develop talents in them.

you are NOT too old to learn. i'm not sure why you persist in espousing that idea. many of us countered it last time you posted it. and, if it's fun, why worry if you're picasso or segovia or clapton?

My mind just won't let me think I am not too old. It's constantly reverberating with the thoughts I have and refuses to quit. Whenever I try to formulate a new thought pattern, the old ones block it from circulating.

sounds as if cognitive behavioral therapy might help.

I just lost my therapist and she used to try that with me. :(

could a different agency without that clueless supervisor offer you a counselor?

Clueless supervisor?

didn't the supervisor think you somehow didn't fit their profile of an appropriate client?

It was my medical insurance provider. They refused to reimburse my therapist.

The last college class I took (Dropped it soon after) the instructor put on a monologue by David Foster Wallace and a line in it was the reason why people who shoot themselves in the head when they commit suicide is because they are angry at their own brains. I later found out he himself committed suicide. I feel like this will be my fate.

did insurance give a reason for denial?

They don't think I qualify because I don't have schizophrenia or PTSD but that doesn't change the fact I am not struggling.

The Bible Belt thinks depression is a myth and that all you need to do is work yourself to death or let God take it out of you.
