I love Volvos! I want one, but I have too much anger, ok, road rage, to be driving, but if I was going to drive, I'd drive a Volvo. They're a damn good vehicle and I like the way they look, I'm very into looking at anything well made and I like vehicles that look different compared to new vehicles, which are as hideous as it gets in my opinion.

Oh yeah, trivial fact: Canada's ten dollar bill is purple, and has a picture of Sir John A. Macdonald on one side with The Library of Parliament in the background. The other side has an exerpt of "Flander's Fields" by John McCrae printed on it, a picture of some peasent-looking people, more pictures of some military-looking people and monuments, a picture of a dove, picture of some poppies with the words "lest we forget" overlayed on it, and in the background there's a picture of the globe in longitude/latitude form.........oh hell I'm done, y'all can look up the picture and every word on it is printed in French and English for your reading pleasure.....yippie.

Leonard Nimoy felt that Vulcans represented the Jewish people. He himself was a Jew.

Speaking of Volvos: The first Volvos had flower pots built in them.

The longest word in the dictionary with 1 syllable is "Strengths."

This word is also the longest word in the dictionary with 1 syllable.

The standard size of a sheet of toilet paper is 4.5" x 4.5". However, in the last 10 years manufacturers have come out with "cheater sheets". These can run as small as 4" x 3.8". This means about 15% less paper.

The longest English word with no vowels is "rhythms"

The word "sinister" originally meant "Left" (in Latin) and "quick" (in Middle English) originally meant "alive"

Male dogs like human foot odour because it has the same chemical signature as a b***h on heat.

Despite popular imagery, the original novel "Dracula" was NOT a big hit. In fact, it was a bit of a washout. In the book, and first stageplays, Dracula was an ancient corpse-like man. (Think Nosferatu.) It was not until the 1920's that the stageplay was re-written with Drac being a suave handsome man that it became popular.

James Whale, the director of the 1931 "Frankenstein", supposedly left the choice of actor to play the monster to the make-up man Jack Pierce. Lugosi had turned down the role, after the make-up tests were less than successful, and learning the monster had no dialogue. Pierce chose Karloff because his face was so lean. Karloff needed the job, and accepted.

(Once upon a time, kiddies, I went through the Acker-Mansion, and saw a handbill that advertised Lugosi as soon to star in "Frankenstein".)

Bela Lugosi started his acting career on the stage in Hungary in several Shakespearean plays and other major roles, and also appeared in several silent films of the Cinema of Hungary under the stage name Arisztid Olt. During World War I, he served as an infantry lieutenant in the Austro-Hungarian army.

Pumpkins are an American addition to Helloween. The Irish used Turnips hollowed out, with a candle inside.
