Edit: That name, 'transition to life' makes no sense to me. It makes it sound like I'm not already living, and that getting a job and 'integrating into society' are all there is about life.

You're right, that's a mass delusion. People think material rewards are worth forgoing fun for most of their waking lives. I'm lucky I enjoy dense logic & challenging thought experiments but I'm still not sure about making a career of that stuff - there's a good chance I should just become a ski instructor or something.
