The one question I don't know how to answer is the phrase be yourself. I don't ever know who I am. Am I supposed to explore the world and listen to as many people as I can or perhaps am I supposed to be stagnant and listen to nobody except myself. I have no idea who I am. At this point I'm like a chameleon trying to form all of the best opinions of what it is meant to be yourself by everyone in my life.

With this autism thing I'm conflicted with whether I am supposed to act autistic or whether I'm supposed to act in a way that my family sees me. Following your dreams confuses me just as much. So I have no idea who I am. I'm pretty much like a chameleon at this point in my life. There are many definitions of me and I mean many that I don't know which one it should be the real me. Growing up confuses me too, because if I grow up am I changing myself so I'm not being myself at all to begin with. Or perhaps is the view of who I am meant to be going to always be a mystery.

I'm confused.

Basically just do what makes you happy/content without hurting others. It's different for everyone because life is relative to each individual and what one believes or whatever. Do what you think is appropriate for you to continue to succeed in life. Also, life has been and will always be about change (growth). You will always be you. I don't think very many people actually fully understand who they are.

just because someone is upset doesn't mean it's your fault. some people get upset over trifles. everyone gets upset over misunderstandings and everyone has them.

You know what, you don't have to offer opinions or advice and that someone else doesn't have to care about your opinion or advice. There is no law forcing you to give opinions or advice and you don't have to agree with everything and neither do you have to disagree with everything and you don't have to make no decision posting nothing at all.

As long as you aren't posting anything vulgar you should be fine.

it's just so bloody annoying when i spend a lot of time making a well thought out response and i see someone else basically saying "screw those other guys, listen to me instead".

it's rude to the OP too.

You gotta overlook it all despite how oppositional it can feel. And if you keep on getting ignored and am argued with well guess what you don't have to speak to them again and you can leave. If you're worried about how rude you sound well it'll just happen. Almost everyone I know has been rude at least once in their life and had to learn from it. Doesn't mean keep on being rude though.

Sorry all but I am going to add to the tense atmosphere on here.

Not only did my heating pack up last night - at -5c. Brrrrrrrr.

I come on here to find Raleigh is so upset he has gone again.

What a bloody crap day! Or at least a crap start to the day.

:(

Don't stop posting advice , you never know what the OP actually finds useful.

Not sure how long for - a day? a week? or what?
I do hope he comes back later.

And don't you go disappearing Mr Ferris - that would top off my day of misery.

As far as the heating is concerned I believe it is due to a back up of condensed water not being able to run off because of a frozen waste water pipe.
I may be able to pull pipe off the boiler and let it drip into a bucket to get the boiler running again. It has to be worth a try.

At least I have a hot cup of tea :)

I was going to say , check your overflow for ice but no need now.

I have no plans to disappear but alien abduction is not out of the question :alien:

Ya know what? I think I might find alien abduction agreeable at present.
As long as they had a warm space ship and didn't mind me staying a few days until the thaw.
And of course I would want to bring my dog.

Let me know if you find such accommodating ET's out there.
