I think any opportunity to get a post in is seized by them, even if it's just counting or restating what 5 other people have already said.

Really? I know I've posted a lot here, but I do not intentionally try to do any of that. I try to respond to what I find of interest or otherwise where I feel I have something to say.

Yeah, it happens; I'm not accusing everyone with very high post counts of doing that, though. There has been explicit mentioning of "post count contests" and the like by a few members. There have even been a few spam threads by regular members devoted to raising said members' post counts.

Ah. Even the people who at one point are temporarily interested in post count alone will probably grow bored of that eventually and perhaps move on from there later.

I also post when I have things to day and I see things of interests. It's just that I do it more often than most people and I've been here for almost 8 years.

I really like the anthem of the Russian Empire from 1833 to its death in 1917, which is "God Save the Tsar!" in English and "Боже, Царя храни!" in Russian. Below is a 1915 recording of it.

Dear Jmnixon, Thank you for sharing that, but it is so sad, especially the family pictures, considering how they died...Sylkat

Sorry to hear that. I hope you didn't think that I was referring to you regarding the post count discussion or anything, I wasn't, I was trying to think about it in abstract terms rather than dealing with anyone. I hope you aren't offended CockneyRebel.
