I'm feeling a little sensitive tonight.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you didn't think that I was referring to you regarding the post count discussion or anything, I wasn't, I was trying to think about it in abstract terms rather than dealing with anyone. I hope you aren't offended CockneyRebel.
I was a little upset about it. It's not what you've said. It's what the other person has said. I don't want to say her name. I'm sick of the higher functioning ones using big words. There are people who are 20 years younger than me here who seem to have more brains than I do and than they start talking politics around me, after saying something about my post count. You can read more of what I mean in the Random Truth thread.
http://www.wrongplanet.net/posts10404-start14910.htmlIn defence of the poster you're not naming, she was having a conversation with iamnotaparakeet about post counts, which led to the conversation turning to post-count competitions.
There was no mention of you, CR - in fact I'd say that poster made it quite clear she was not making the general claim that everyone with a high post count did it; just those few who explicitly mentioned post-count contests and the threads created for the purpose of increasing post counts.
It was very much implied by one member and come across to me as done purposely to upset Mick, as usual. I've seen this person do the same thing before.

Hmm... that makes me
remember of someone that "advocates" a "cure for autism" and flames other users who are against their stances. I called "troll" on that one. Of course, I'm not going to drop names, although I am highly tempted to do so.
Anyway, let's not mind those evildoers and let's make WP a better place to be.

The quiet treatment works well on trolls. Simply warning them the first time and bringing a moderator the second time seems to be effective at removing trolls without angering oneself too much.
ADDITION:
Here I am, a moderate AS, adding yet another symptom to my diagnosis. I wish there was an AS adolescent with my special interest and level of dedication, but that would be like looking for a clone.
Unfortunately there are trolls and sock puppets here and there are a lot of people who seem to be more NT than they are AS or Autistic in their behavior. I've noticed that this place has become quite cliquish as well. I don't remember it being like this last time but it is now. I make comments and replies to some people here and they ignore me like they are above speaking to me or some such nonsense and they know who they are. Makes me think they were misdiagnosed or their just pretending to have AS or be Autistic. Their behavior speaks volumes about the kind of person they are and now that I know how they really are, I consider myself better off.
Some areas of science fascinate me Kevin but quite honestly your knowledge goes far beyond mine in that area. I'm sorry I can't talk biochemistry with you. But I still think it's cool when I hear you talk about it and it's obvious that you don't just do that to make other's feel inferior.
