I have been trying to work out what it is at the back of her crown?

A feather? Antenna? Or just background?

A marvellous piece of art though. :)

Thank you for putting me straight.

I just tried to draw a dragon - it looks more like a unicorn with a long tail and fangs.

I didn't know you were an artist, too!

I suck at art, in the visual sense.

Not really Kraftie, It has been many years since I tried to draw. (When I was at school)

I would like to get back into it at some point.

There's a Picasso-esque sort of thing to your drawing. Especially in the nose...

Only here for a short period of time though, I have a fascination for art but, not very good at drawing nor painting.

I thought I was done with printing out piano sheet music for the time being, but apparently not.

You know what I can't stand LOL (Note that I'm only kidding.....)

Somebody who's really good at something---and yet they say they "dabble" in it.

Which means.....that since I TRULY suck at it, then I must REALLY SUCK at it--enough so that I fall far below the "dabbling" stage.

I looked closely at the piece Temeraire drew. I see real talent there (No kidding!). It does have more a Marc Chagall quality than a Picasso quality. It can be one thing, or it can be another-----and both the one thing and the other thing are of high quality.

It's open to many interpretations---like an inkblot test.

Chagall's art is one thing close up, and another thing far away.

I looked at Temeraire's queen again----and I reiterate----that it's really excellent. There's talent there that should be been cultivated when she was younger.

I find it similar in quality to the "cartoons" which Peter Paul Rubens drew before he actually painted. The "cartoons" served as the foundation of the paintings.

One thing that the sketch conveys is a sense of "mournfulness." It can also be interpreted as a sort of religious "beatitude."

Am I missing something here or has Kraftie got sight beyond sight ?

If one looks at some of Marc Chagall's paintings, one would see it depicting one thing from about 30 feet away, and another thing about 10 feet away.
