You and me both Marknis

My laptop went and did this today on its own - I think it is trying to tell me something.

I can't laugh anymore. :(

My brain refuses to change so I can't do new things. It doesn't make any new neural connections and the fact I've failed to do new things is proof.

Could there be another explanation of why you don't do new things?
Because the research out there says we are making new neural connections all the time.
I do wonder if there are some connections which are so strong they dominate?

When we become conditioned we can become unconditioned - does this make sense?

Whenever I try new things, I mess up at them. Whenever I try to put new knowledge through reading, my head will ache and it won't retain what I've read. It makes me want to shoot my brains out. I used to visualize doing so back when I was 17 and the depression was kicking in.

But we all mess up at new things - this is how we learn.

When I can't read because my head is unable to retain the words I listen to an audio version instead. Youtube, ted talks anything where I can get that same information. :)

Mum had another crying fit. I just can't leave when that happens. My step-father can't really help since he's the one directly or indirectly setting her off. All I can do is comfort her and then go cry over Boo. Here I am again, trapped in a situation that I've tried desperately to avoid. I keep saying that I'm at my limit, but no matter what happens, I just endure it anyway. Is my whole life to be this?

Just goes to show how far those limits can stretch and your resilience and strength my lovely.

Today won't last forever and nor will this sadness.

You have done well today Kura. Hugs big wingy ones.

Kitty hugs back.

Mum told me that she had ptsr [post traumatic stress reaction], and that she keeps having trouble coping with it.

I don't think anyone wants me to be happy and have my dreams come true. They just want me to pretend I am fine like a robot and fake my emotions. :(

Now that's absurd!

I would like it if you got a girlfriend, and good friends.

I would love to see you feeling happy and posting funny and sarcastic stuff and then posting helpful comments to people who were in your position

I was in a bit of a sour mood, so I've changed my avatar to a pea-like character instead of slapping on the German helmet. Now I feel like a Sweet Pea again. :P

I want to enjoy life without being like some fragile ornament that can easily break if you aren't too careful. I wish to not have quarrelsome traits. Is change, growth, equality, and normalcy terrifying and frustrating for me? If I can't do anything should I accept that I can do nothing for myself while at the same time claim I'm capable of doing anything and everything? What's the big picture for me, because it could be that I probably can't see the forest for the trees?
