How’d your dad break his?
My dad broke his kneecap from a fall onto concrete
The break is on his good leg, too.

omg that's crazy. Do you mean he got INTO the car or just got outside near it so people would see him?!
My grandfather fell off a roof before I was born and broke his back. Maybe it was his neck? I'll have to ask. It was about a six month recovery whatever it was.

He got into the car so he could get his cellphone and call for help. The house was out in the country, and there was no one nearby. His recovery took around 6 months, and he had to find another job after that. He hated that job, so he didn't really mind that so much.

I’ve heard of a few people who’ve been in an accident and helped themself to safety, like your dad.
My uncle was in a very lucky car crash a few years ago and crawled out from under the car himself. (He’s doing great now, don’t worry)
I’ve also had a “help yourself to safety” situation with a bike crash
