Big D: Hmm.. yum. I remembered my days in Saudi Arabia, where we always get complimentary Arabic coffee with dates every time we visit a fancy restaurant or a house of one of my dad's supervisors. My dad's planning to take me again there, along with my mom and my nephew come March or April of next year.
That sounds cool. I have lots of friends who have visited and lived in the Middle East periodically. But I've never been. One of my old bosses said that he was going to take me there so I couldn't tell him NO anymore. He was joking of course and talking about what little rights women have. Anyway, you should tell us more of what it's like Big D.

Big D: I have lots to tell. So much, it'd take up plenty of space here, but in a nutshell, Jeddah was fun for me. Not the fun the Western world is accustomed to, but the thrill is still there, nonetheless. And it's fun to shop there, because you get everything at a good price, tax-free.

I understand what you're saying. It sounds exciting and exotic to me. But so does your home. :)

Brandon Braga really ought to utilize a nom de plume so that his work, such as Terra Nova most recently, wont be judged prejudicially on the basis of his previous failure in Enterprise and perhaps instead be judged on the basis of the show's own merits.

My wife and I rescued one of the new baby birds, Jonas, from a thread which had wrapped around his foot. At the same time we got to hold and meet the other baby birds, Sebastian and Bach, and cleaned up the nesting area of Pavi and Havi which the baby birds had filled with poo as baby birds do (the parents are careful not to, but the baby birds don't know any better.)
That's sweet of you and your wife. You both have great hearts. :)

Thanks.

A few days ago I mentioned my frustration with Wikipedia because every time I notice something that's wrong and needs to be changed, someone changes it back literally within seconds. Last night I went back to the article and changed it again, this time leaving a note on the user's Talk page explaining my edit. He accepted that I was right and my edit is still there. Neither of us was mean about it, and yet I feel like an a**hole now. :?

So slow that I'm not bothering to post, even though I'm still checking the site.

True. If you didn't fall for my trap I'd have been waiting and waiting until about 40 pages later, then give up after realising that I haven't moved since then and lost my job and girlfriend in the process.

My mom watches Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman reruns every day. I could stand the awful acting and the preachy messages if it weren't for the high-pitched trumpet music that seems to play in the background of every single scene. I doubt anyone else even notices it.
