Obsidian is attacking my arms and hands, Winchester is asleep under the blanket and Sterling is watching the birds out the East window. It's just another fine day with my cats in Virginia. :cat:

Compared to Earth, the sun is enormous!
It contains 99.86% of all of the mass of the entire solar system.
The sun is 864,400 miles (1,391,000 kilometers) across. This is about 109 times the diameter of Earth.
The sun weighs about 333,000 times as much as Earth. It is so large that about 1,300,000 planet Earths can fit inside of it.
Earth is about the size of an average sunspot!

It's cool here, 48°F but it feels like it's 41°F.

yes.

it will become dessicated, and you will need to ingest auxiliary fluids to digest it, but it will be sterile (?).

actually, i have thought about it more, and i realize that nothing will disappear in a closed vacuum.

if you had a box that could withstand a complete vacuum, then if you placed a septic lamb chop in that complete vacuum, it will explode into a gaseous state, and if that gas could be recondensed into a block of material, it would be recomposed into an alternative arrangement of it's original structure, but without any life (bacterial) that relies on oxygen to survive (unless oxygen was released during it's rarefactive explosion).
a vacuum is not a vacuum when an object is placed within it that is obliterated (rarified) into elements that partially fill the vacuum, and can thereby maintain a habitable environment for some organisms.

whatever ... there is no other threads that i wish to address.

It'd decompose slower. If you sterilized it first, it'd decompose even slower. Think of canned goods. Some stuff has a realllyy long shelf life. Hell, some wines will last just about forever. [There's also other ways food can spoil without rotting]

Ninja Edit: Aaaannnnd someone beat me at answering your question. And more thoroughly too!
