I don't get why educating its populace to their highest achievable level isn't the single biggest priority for any government.

I don't get why sidewalk camping was made legal in Portland, that was so stupid. Just put them in vacant lots or give them vacant buildings to stay in. That is what is killing our city.

It's sad that this seems to be a modern obsession. Apparently until recently, people couldn't care less. If someone lived as a man, they were seen as a man. If someone lived as a woman, they were seen as a woman.

Archaeologists are always digging up bodies who were buried as a man but were actually a woman or vice versa.

e.g. the very famous Viking warrior who was always assumed to be a man- dressed as a man, buried as a man etc. But DNA tests revealed she was a woman.

Another one, can't remember what era, was someone dressed and buried as a female healer, but DNA tests revealed he was a man.

I think historical people were too busy living their lives to care who was what. And who cares anyway! A person is a person. Their personality is far more important than their body characteristics.

I don't get why the numbers and words don't light up on electronics.
For example my clothes dryer has a bright LED light when it's on.
There's a light on the dial thing that moves when you turn the dial.
There are little lights on the buttons but they don't light up the words or numbers.

I'll be damned if I can see what I'm doing even with an overhead light on, and reading glasses.
I stand there cupping my hand by the button lights to make them cast toward any words.

I don't get why anyone gets offended when you give them the benefit of the doubt by assuming their behavior is due to their autism. I guess they would be happy if I just assume they are being a bully then and just out to try and bully you and they are just an ahole and a troll. Okay then.
