I was a passenger on a Harley in California, along the PCH. It was great.

Have you ever been to the Great Wall of China?

Nope...can't say that I have. It would be nice to go there, though.

Have you been to the Mountaintop?

Meaning, a specific mountain? Or any mountain? I've been to some.

Do you have sensory issues with textures?

I was referring to the Martin Luther King speech.....it's almost as if he reached Nirvana or something. Unfortunately, soon after that speech, he was assassinated. He said, "I've been to the MOUNTAINTOP!"

I do....it's mild...but irritating.

I tear tags from my clothes frequently. Sometimes, they leave holes. Once in a while, the hole is so bad that I have to throw out the item.

Same question.

OHHHH the mountaintop!! Of course...how could I forget! Well, the proverbial mountaintop hasn't crossed my path yet.

Texture is a serious problem for me, mostly at bedtime but also for clothing. I will only wear cotton pullovers and have to have a t-shirt under any (cotton) sweater. Bed is brutal. No embroidery, pleats, ruffles, corduroy, knits, weaves, buttons, creases, etc. Everything has to be completely smooth and soft. I'm quite the sassy sleeper.

Yeah, me too. My bed has to be smooth. I also have to have a couple of pillows; otherwise, I'll feel dizzy.

I'm the opposite of most autistics----in that I don't like to have ANY weight on me when I'm sleeping. A "weighted blanket" is not something I would be delighted with.

Forget about turtlenecks; I refuse to wear them. They make me choke.

Do you follow any sports at all?

Sports I watch are generally the type that are objective (timers, measurements):
Running races
Swimming races
Ski races (etc).

I get frustrated by anything subjectively judged because I don't trust the politics. However, I do love to watch figure skating or gymnastics, even though I have no clue how the scoring works.

Team sports are beyond me. I don't know any of the rules but I've been a fair-weather fan for baseball and ice hockey now and then.

I've never been on a team or won a trophy of any sort.

Baseball is such a "lolling" sport that I would sometimes get bored by it----but it soothed me sometimes, too.

I used to try to play many sports---and I succeeded at none. I used to try pretty hard most of the time; my "diligence" caused me to be teased for it.

I really enjoyed the Olympics----the swimming, track, skiing "objectively-scored" sports. Individual sports.

But I also liked (American) football and basketball. I was a short, fat kid---so it was hard to tackle me. That's why I did okay in football. I'm still short----but I'm not so fat.

I'm a "fair weather" fan because when I was a kid, I used to throw tantrums when, say, the Knicks or Yankees screwed up. I would throw things at the TV. I got thrown out of a few bowling alleys because of my tantrums when I would get gutterballs.

Do you like those dancing competitions like "So you think you can dance?" I've never seen any of these shows. And very few of those "Survivor-type" shows. I wish we had Gilligan's Island again!

OMG. Don't start me on Survivor. I have no clue. I just can't. All that sand and sun and duplicity. For why? I have no idea how that show works. I don't even understand the rules of the games they play, or how the voting thing works. When they gang up on each other it's beyond me. I'd rather stick my head in a wood-chipper than have to be on that island.

That's super cute about you trying your best at sports. Good for you. Who cares if you are short? So what. This world needs to get a grip.

I tried the track and field team when I was about nine years old but some girl made fun of how I ran so I quit on the first day. That was my athletic career.

Olympics used to be great before all the politics and BS, but even then I wouldn't watch the team stuff. I only liked the stories of courage by individuals and people who defected.

I've never watched those popular shows with contests like the dance shows or singing shows. I'm really behind in terms of pop culture. I missed a decade plus I couldn't care less. Books are where it's at.

Yep...books!

I used to spend many hours reading the Columbia Encyclopedia which my father got me when I was about 8. And I would imagine myself with the Encyclopaedia Britannica! I thought only the rich got the Encyclopaedia Brittanica! But I still loved my dad because he gave me the Columbia.

I wasn't a very literary person until I had a crush on an English teacher in 8th grade. I just used to read things like the World Almanac. I was also into sports statistics, too. Though not baseball cards.

When I was in summer camp, I used to slip away sometimes to go back to the bunk to read. I liked rainy days because I got to read. I hated going to Arts and Crafts on rainy days.

I'm leaving work now, and I have to take the train home. Sweet Dreams.

Do you still feel you'd rather turn the pages of an actual book, instead of reading from a tablet?

I don't own a tablet. Remember I'm old school. I wouldn't read a book online, ever. I need the texture and the scent of the paper. The older the better. I just got a 1901 edition of Villette and I'm in heaven with it. It's a French / Belgian story by Charlotte Brontë and it's far superior to Jane Eyre in my humble opinion.

Summer camp was bad. I went once and got picked on for a reason I'd rather not disclose. I don't think we were allowed books. I don't remember having any there. Maybe that's why it was so bad? I didn't have a lot of access to encyclopaedias or reference material as a child (e.g., boating), but I loved to look at maps and atlas(es)? (plural?) when I could.

Wait, you were at work all day? Oh my, I'm sorry for rambling.

Goodnight.

Ramble all you want! It wasn’t busy at work.

I got reception in the subway.

Sometimes, I won’t get reception, though.

I had bad stuff happen at camp to me.

One instance, it was perverted stuff.

If you could ever visit the Central Park memorial benches for Jim Henson and Jon Stone on my behalf without going out of your way, I'd be forever grateful. Maybe leave a cookie or a pinwheel at each for me if you could, or just blow bubbles. I'd say leave a flower but I don't love cut flowers and they give me headaches.

You are so fortunate to be in NYC.
Do you feel invisible in a good way?
