I've been in the Ganges River in my imagination. The Taj Mahal was commissioned by a Muslim ruler

Not that I know of.

My father came very close to being deployed to Korea in 1953.

Would you rather go back in the past to change something, or into the future to guarantee something?

My grandfather was lucky he wasn't called in the First World War draft. He had turned 18 in August, 1918.

I would rather go back to the past to "fix" things."

A harpsichord. Ha.
