No. Well, not on my head, anyway.

(edit: too quick for me, that meant the hair!)
Re: politicians. Yes, I think they're up to some kind of job. Not sure what, though.

What's the furthest you've been from the nearest human being? (distance or travel time.)

No.

These days I don't find that any professional is up to the job. No one seems to have a clue what they're doing, and few are dedicated to their work like they were when I was younger. People have more education but less skill.

Do you wish you could travel to the moon?

I really don't know. The farthest distance I've been from kind, caring people is immeasurable.

Not really. I'm struggling to acquire the motivation to travel more than about ten miles outside my home town at the moment.

Do you understand the financial markets?

Absolutely not. I don't understand anything with duplicity or strategy or deceit (hence, the money market).
I don't like to travel much any more either. I'm almost reclusive and being treated for agoraphobia.

Do you understand philosophy?

That's a huge question - we all understand aspects of philosophy to some degree, don't we, and most people have a 'philosophy of life'. I studied the works of Plato when I was a student, and I've taken a passing interest in people like Nietzche and Jung, but I'd have trouble really getting into it all. I doubt whether I understand philosophy in any major sense.

Do you like any sports?

Edit: Jung was a psychologist wasn't he. W  hatever...

When I was 20, I took a solo trip to Cape Cod for the express purpose of being alone. It was great. For a whole week.
That was my first flight, too. Went by way of Boston.

Aw gee, I got lost in the postings.

The money market - no. It's the magnetism it has toward people that I really don't get. The sort of manic "I got a tip" that people can't resist.

Travel - hope to do that but it won't be easy, i'm handicapped and poor.

Philosophy - what an enormous topic! I'll answer yes but there's still stuff I haven't even heard of yet.

Jung: I was in Jungian analysis for 3 years and it's good stuff. Originally he was a psychiatrist because no similar profession had been invented yet.

Question: Regardless of your present abilities etc., if you could choose and succeed at any career, what would it be?

I agree I messed up with the philosophy question. I should have said "do you enjoy reading philosophy?", but that's still an enormous topic.

I would be a writer with a pseudonym.

Same question?

I'd like to have been involved in the computing world, in some sort of self-employed or consultative capacity, but I don't have the knowledge or qualifications (only acquired my first PC four years ago). I'd never want to work in any sort of organization with a hierarchy again or have a boss. Did that for 20 years, and I've barely recovered from it even now.

Do you 'get' Shakespeare?

I really enjoy Shakespeare, especially his tragicomedies and poetry. I wasn't big on the historical ones (King Richard, etc.) because I don't know or care about the monarchy at all. I did fairly well in my Shakespearian studies except for examinations when I had to identify who said which quote. I'm bad at that because I got characters mixed up easily. I usually wrote "Claudio" as the answer because there tended to be a Claudio in every play :D

Do you know how to sew?

No, I haven't sewn in a long time.

Same question.

I can sew a hem by hand, but I've never operated a sewing machine.

I can knit at quite an advanced level and I like to knit because my dad taught me how
I've made macramé hangings and embroidery samplers.
I don't do regular sewing or crochet but I'd like to learn crochet.

Do you have freckles?

I wish. :( I have a few scattered on my hands, arms and legs, but hardly any on my face.

Same question.

Pepsi, or Coke?

Neither (my goodness I'm so predictable).
Gingerale is the only carbonated drink I enjoy.

If you had to make visual art by hand (not camera or computer), what medium would you chose?

Probably magic markers.

Painting, or sculpture?
