I try to eat my favourite part last. That's counterintuitive, but it's nice to remember the flavour of the best thing when I finish.

What is your mother's middle name?

(Haha, my mom's middle name is technically Jean too, though she goes by Jean instead of her legal first name.)

A Wrinkle in Time

Same question.

Middle name: Adele
Last movie: A Quiet Place
I thought I'd like it because it wasn't noisy. It was pretty lame.

How far is it from your front door to the closest body of water?

About 1/4 of a mile or so. There's what used to be a reservoir, but is now partly drained to turn it into a park with ponds and wetlands, and lots of cool wildlife. I don't know how I'd live any more without somewhere like that within walking distance.

Are your bags or pockets always full of used bus tickets, till receipts and other useless junk like mine always are?

I basically live in hoodies, so I can carry things with me even around my home (e.g., my glasses, my mobile phone, my lip balm). I usually wear yoga pants so they don't have pockets, but my handbag is full of receipts I think I'll need. I never find the one I need though, only the useless ones. The required ones vanish like socks. Why is that?

I carry a small plastic monster named John with me, pretty much everywhere I go.

Did you know all of your grandparents?

Both on my mother's side, but on my father's side only his adoptive father. I know that his "Mum" died when he was still a child, and assume he meant his adoptive mother, but we were estranged for most of my life, so I don't really know for sure.

Do you often find that you have no idea what day of the week it is?

virtually always. i get confused on the season as well, when it's transitional weather. I often think it's autumn when it's spring or spring when it's autumn, until I stop and think about it.

Do you know how to play backgammon?

I'd have to have a game to see if I can remember! I did used to play a bit with some housemates that I once shared with - we used to gamble over forfeits like doing the dishes or housework. I don't think I was very good; I have very little patience for games with any kind of random element (shuffled cards, dice rolling) because I get too frustrated when strategy is usurped by bad luck.

Do you gamble at all? (e.g. lottery and games, not things like crossing the road!)

I'll purchase a sweepstakes ticket maybe once a year. I have no clue how to play gambling games like poker.
I went to Las Vegas but primarily enjoyed Lake Mead.

Would it be more difficult for you to express feelings of affection verbally, or feelings of anger verbally?

Probably feelings of affection. The feelings of anger tend to just come out, though not expressed well in the moment.

Same question.

Both very difficult. It would be easy to mumble "I love you" if I had to, but it wouldn't sound sincere most of the time.
When I'm angry it builds up, sometimes for years, before I make a simple sarcastic comment.

So I guess affection but both are brutally hard.

If you counted all the cash in your wallet right now (not credit cards), what could you buy?

Starbucks

(grande white mocha frappucino with whip)

Why don't I just go get a pedicure?

Because not all pedicurists are hygienic, which grosses me out. I have a fear of foot fungus.

Do you have sensory issues related to the length of you fingernails/toenails? I trim my fingernails 2-3 times per week because I can't stand the feeling of them scraping.
