My parents don't understand that what they see as garbage, I often don't see as garbage. This has resulted in many things I wanted being disposed of.

I retracted because I thought you might not want to respond since you didn’t earlier.

I will never remarry, but if I did, my clothing choices and belongings would be my own unless they’re shared items. I would extend the same respect to my spouse. It’s really not cool to dispose of someone else’s things without their permission.

It's not, but I try to be understanding when the things look to 99% of people like garbage.
Still, my mom has done this on other occasions with things that don't look like garbage.
