by the numbers-
Window
To see a window in your dream, signifies bright hopes, vast possibilities and insight. To dream that you are looking into the window, then it indicates that you are doing some soul searching and looking within yourself. It is time for some introspection.
Mirror
Seeing images through the mirror may be a safe way for you to consider and/or confront material from your unconscious. Mirrors symbolize the imagination and the link between the conscious and unconscious. Alternatively, the dream means that you are unwilling to acknowledge your unconscious emotions, so the mirror in your dream was a buffer to make you feel a bit protected from what you see. The future is a scary place to visit, but since you saw the bed in the window as being "very comfy-looking," you have self-confidence and an internal locus of control, you feel you can handle what comes up. To see your bed in your dream, represents your intimate self. The dream may also be a pun on the completion of a project and "putting it to bed." The fact that the bed is empty and you are not in the picture, means you have not done enough living and that it is not your time yet to leave this life, IOW you have insufficient data to "put to bed," so to speak.
Rooms
To see a room in your dream, represents an area or areas of your own soul and self. Specific rooms in the house indicate a specific aspect of your psyche. for example, an attic represents your intellect, the basement represents the unconscious, etc. If the room is empty, then it indicates feelings of insecurity or incompleteness in your life. To see a circle or round room in your dream, symbolizes perfection, completeness, immortality and/or wholeness. On a less positive note, it may also mean that you are going around in circles in some situation. Or the circle can indicate monotony and endless repetition.
Unknown
To dream that you are in a strange, unknown or foreign place, represents change in your life. Consider how you feel about the surrounding. If you are afraid or lost, then it indicates that you are not ready for the change. You are not ready to leave the past behind. If you are excited or happy in this unknown place, then it suggests that you are ready for change.

Wow, thanks for the detailed response, auntblabby. Very interesting.
The "windows" were more like a cross between windows and portals, but it sounds to me like your window interpretation is probably spot on. Your post got me considering the room my dream was in. I didn't see anywhere outside of it, but it felt like it was somewhere in the middle of the house or building, cocooned on all sides. It was circular except for a flat wall where the mirror was, so that everything could be reflected if you looked at it from the right angle. It was empty, aside from the mirror, but it was comfortable, a nice room--all dark wood, very (figuratively) warm. It did feel that it was the first time I'd found the room, though it had been there all along.

i dreamt i was in this sunny southern place, with a bunch of brown-skinned people in a big farmer's field picking pasta off of these scrubby little trees, and i was standing on this huge jiggling mountain of lasagna along with a bunch of other farm workers, and we were all supposed to be picking pasta off of it or putting pasta on it, i am not sure which but in anycase i was doing neither because i had a full bladder and i had to wizz really bad, and i was looking for a hiding place so i could do just that but everybody was staring at me so i said, "aw jeez, i guess the jig is up and i better find a way to climb down this mountain" - so i tried but my egress was blocked by giant jiggling pasta leaves every which way i turned, so i yelled down to the other pickers, "hey, anybody can tell me the best way to climb down off of this thing?" and the immediate response was "just choose a direction and start climbing down." i was about to do that when suddenly this big flatbed truck pulled up below, and onboard was a fella with a bullhorn who shouted at us, "HEY Y'ALL! anybody up there know how much electricity that thing can generate?" so i piped up with "SURE! 1.21 JIGGLEWATTS!" then everybody all around started riotously laughing at me in disbelief, to which i responded by pointing up to the sky with my left hand twirling in circles and shouting, "NO! dangit! that's the god's honest truth! i just heard it on a radio show where they were interviewing SCIENTISTS!" some fella wearing a sombrero below me a bit, said "sure, doc- 1.21 jigawatts, is that all? where's your flux capacitor?!" then he snorted with derision. somebody else yelled, "WHY AREN'T Y'ALL JUST EATIN' THE DAMNED THING?"
then i awoke. ![]()

I was at home, playing Sonic Colors on Wii. I heard a strange, vacuuming noise. I turned the Wii off and investigated.
A mirror was before my eyes, right on the living room wall. I noticed it had no frame. I jumped in, eager to unlock this mirror's secrets.
I was teleported onto a mysterious island, where I noticed spangled grass. I looked around, and noticed some floating rings. To my right, an HDTV with Sonic's head on it. Was I in another dimension?
I took the middle path, and was confronted by some irate, insect-like robots. One beatdown later, out popped some baby animals.
Further down the path, I noticed a lamp post with a spherical, star-adorned bulb. I stepped past it, and the lamp post rang, spinning its bulb clockwise. The red part of the bulb flashed a rainbow. I shrugged, then moved on.
End of dream.
Last night I dreamt that the show CSI was real, and the CSI characters, my mom and I had to escort a group of Native Americans across the desert, away from a mafia group who were trying to kill them all.
At one point, a man died, leaving behind his wife and two daughters. In his will, he left everything to only one daughter. The other daughter started crying because she believed it was because she had blonde hair. I put my arm around the girl and gave her a long speech about why she should be proud to have blonde hair.
We continued traveling across the desert, and we came across a manga (Japanese comic book) page with a Naruto character on it. He threatened to kill us. I transformed into Kenshin Himura from Rurouni Kenshin and stabbed him with my sword.
Even though I stabbed a manga page, it felt like I had stabbed flesh. Blood came out of the page and I said "Consider this a warning." I left the page lying in plain sight for our enemy to find. Our enemy eventually came around and picked it up. It was Shishio, a villain from the Rurouni Kenshin series. We were about to start fighting, but I woke up.

I had a dream last night that I was on a bus with my laptop, it went past a nursing home, and my laptop got stolen by evil nurses. I went back, flipped out at them because I needed it for an assignment and to communicate with someone, and went looking around the home for it. I found dozens that weren't the right one, until I finally found one on their desk.
It seemed like mine, but not quite the same. It had a Windows 98 look to it, and desktop icons that I didn't recognise. I also found a USB drive that looked like a cross between my old one and my current one, but I wasn't able to test it.
Note to evil nurses: DO NOT STEAL MY DIGITAL MEDIA. Or else.

very interesting. metaphysical types might say that this dream was telling you that you have been astrally travelling through alternate dimensions, which seldom are even similar to one's own dimension. just a jejune thought on my part.
I just had a very lucid and specific weird dream.
I was in a cellar with Doctor Who and Rose and Charlie Sheen. The Tardis wouldn't open. Not even the sonic screwdriver would convince it to open up and let us in. Doctor Who got really upset and sat on the floor and Charlie Sheen gave us all Starburst sweeties while he comforted the doctor. I had a yellow one.
