My car sounds like a routemaster, and it vibrate like one when it is idling. It is a shame I cant sleep and drive at the same time.

Sports car manufacturer Aston Martin intends to bring back the Routemaster!

The Warwickshire-based firm is joint winner of a competition to design a new Routemaster bus for London, sharing the £25,000 first prize with bus, coach and truck design firm Capoco Design, based in Wiltshire. A Transport for London spokesman said the first of the greener and more accessible (with wheelchair, even!), hop-on hop-off, double-deckers could be in service by 2011.

Wow, thanks for the photos, WillMcC! I don't like the silver painted bus though. It spoils it.

I like the rounded design of the first, but also like the more true-to-the-original form of the second.

Also, bendy buses are a step BACKWARDS in my opinion. Why take up air that nobody's using and take up more road in an already congested city? Sounds like a great idea, RIGHT!?!
