I love to purge. I'm happiest getting rid of things I don't need (recycling, donating, rehoming, etc). I love trash day. In that regard, I'm the opposite of a hoarder as I don't keep a lot of unnecessary things. The things I do have can sometimes become disorganized, though. I'm especially poor at organizing and filing important papers. I just keep them all in a large basket now.

Do you make your bed every day?

PS: I can never concentrate. My mind goes blank very easily.

No. Pretty much all housework is a foreign land to me.

How long did you 'lurk' before signing up to WP?

More than seven years. I've occasionally wondered whether that might be a record.

Do you contribute regularly to any other online forums or message boards?

Yes, a couple of national newspapers and a gaming forum. But we're talking maybe half a dozen posts per week among the lot of them, compared with 100+ for WP.

Have you ever had a face to face conversation with a very well known national figure?

Same question.

Of sorts.
I criticized a nationally-renowned author for her unflattering portrayal of men.
I attended University forums with a few political figures, and spoke to them afterward.
I had my photo taken with a PM.

You?

Did an interview with one of the best-known (and most notorious) trade union bosses of the 70s and 80s for the university magazine. Also did same with a famous BBC sports commentator, and a controversial campaigner on social mores from the 60s and 70s. I won't name any of these, but you might be able to guess one or two. Also met Bill Deedes, editor of the Daily Telegraph and Alexander Chancellor, editor of The Spectator, then of The Oldie. Then I disappeared without a trace......

Do you read a daily paper in a print edition?

I used to enjoy reading the papers very much.
I stopped for several years through no fault of my own, and now I'm too reclusive to buy one.
I would enjoy it.

Where do you go when you disappear?

My house, specifically the small upstairs room my laptop is in.

At what age did you first get drunk?

I've never been drunk in my life and don't plan on it ever happening.

Do you ever get ideas that you have to write down in case you forget, even in the middle of the night?

No, I just forget them.

What do people see in country music?

Oh my goodness. I was just thinking about that. It was my parents' 20th wedding anniversary party at a yacht club with a free bar. I was ... um ... fifteen? I was so drunk from "Silver Cadillacs" that I was carried out by my aunt and uncle. I nearly fell off the pier on my way out. I was left alone (passed out cold) at her home, which I realize is extremely dangerous. My parents thought it was funny but it was pretty serious. Second time was in uni when I woke up on someone's lawn saying "Look how morning it is!" to strangers, as I was still intoxicated.

Let's just say I don't drink much any longer.

You?

Nothing, I sincerely hope.
