In the case of grocery shopping, would it help to focus on one aisle at a time so you don't get overwhelmed? Likewise, training yourself to focus on only one task at a time might help. It certainly helped me. I get distracted easily.
Are those the kinds of things you mean?

I don’t know why but I can’t stick to an organized proper way of thinking.

I tried to take your tip into consideration and it did help me not get as lost at the grocery store as I usually do. Ty

I usually write a list Bloo, my love.

Mostly I shop online and get it delivered because it is so much easier and less taxing on my energy.

If I have to physically go to the shop I try to chose a small one - not the massive ones I can get lost in or lose energy too quickly.

I always write a list as I realise things are running low and when it is near time I look at the list and see if I can add anything.

I write lists for everything. Even phone calls I need to make and find a suitable time to sit and do that.

I try not to cram too many things in one day i.e. shop one day, phone calls the next, some house cleaning another day. I also let myself off the hook if I get too tired.

If I find myself procrastinating, I try to prepare for the task in some way or clear any barriers. If it is form filling I get the things ready I may need to help me fill the form i.e. particular information. If cooking a meal, I get the utensils and ingredients out first, then rest, then get started when ready.

I also get distracted easily and can procrastinate as well as forgetting things. My executive functioning is poor.

When I was at college I had a weekly planner - it works well. I don't feel like I need one now as my life is less hectic and full. I also don't have two energetic children so please be careful with you own energy.

I also had to go to the grocery store to get a few things. I also hate grocery shopping. There's the lights and the different sounds mixed together, the combination of food smells and all the unpredictable people.

I'm giving up my need to rely on other people's happiness. I'm going to move on and find happiness in my own well being. I'm hoping for the best in myself despite my dreadfulness, attention-seeking, over seriousness, derision and sadness. So thank you everyone for helping me find my happiness for being there for me. I'm going to be brave again and try to get through my sadness.

So anyway how is everyone doing at the moment? :D

Hi Mr Z's,

I am feeling pretty good because I have cleared most of my list of calls to make today.

One more call and my list is done. (then I can make a new one  )

The sun is out periodically so it is easier to smile and also do some things outside.

Well done to you for seeing that you need to care for yourself and find those pleasant moments in life which mean so much to you. I applaud you for your bravery

If you struggling to be organised, try the Bullet Journal concept. I have started to use it this year and it's a good system, just takes a bit of getting used to. You don't need a fancy notebook either.

The key points are:
(1) having an index
and
(2) the concept of migration so that you don't end up with multiple 'to do' lists.

I first learned about it from this Youtube channel, she has lots of other videos, that might be of interest whether you have ADHD or not.

For going shopping it might be useful to make your list in separate catagories, so group all the fruit together, same for veggies, dairy, meat, toiletries etc. however it works best for you and where you shop. That way when you are in one area, it should be easier to get all that you need and not miss stuff out.

^ I do like some of her ideas and have come across some of her ways of planning.

I hope Bloo sees this and it is helpful.

Once, I was working with a learning support teacher and she helped me to plan more efficiently. I did not envy her as I am quite resistant to change unless it was my idea.

I am changing slowly still - I am in motion.

My Golden Eagle looks almost like a hippie wearing a German helmet.
