Because I like knowing there is a whole community of people like me who can offer advice and knowledge when I need it, and that I can do the same for others. I may not necessarily be as active on here as I have been in past years or be a well known member, but I'm not going anywhere. :)

Same question.

Same with me. I don't know anyone irl who has aspergers so this is the only place i can come to talk with people like me.

Do you have rl friends with autism?

I'm developing a nice friendship with someone with classic autism right now. This person has a special talent which I'm fascinated by. This person is somewhat "locked in," in a sense---but the doors seem to be opening.

When I was a kid, I used to play with the sister of a kid with severe, nonverbal autism. He was the girl's older brother. We used to have to watch him.

Same question.

I don't know anyone who has been identified as autistic, and no one seems to fit an "undiagnosed" profile either. My late father and his dad were very likely on the spectrum but we didn't know about it prior to their passing.

I have only known very young boys with autism and I didn't recognize myself in their behaviours at all, while I knew them.

If WP had a social gathering near your home would you attend, or be too shy?

If I had the time, I would.

I always like to meet online people in person. This has only happened a few times in over 20 years, though.

Same question.

Very, very, very unlikely. Maybe if my psychologist and my dog could join me and I knew which members I'd be meeting.
It's nothing against anyone; I'm just very guarded.

If you could have the entire planet (the real planet, not WP) to yourself for a week, would you be happy or lonely?

A little bit of both.

Poodles, or Dobermans?

I like poodles that aren't coiffed. The show poodles with the weird hair cuts and costumes freak me out. They act like zombies the way they parade around. Just a regular, ungroomed poodle is good. I've met a few Dobermans (e.g., Xanda), who were charming and I like Dobermans, although I prefer fluffy dogs. All of my dogs have been yellow or gold so that's another reason I'd lean toward poodles.

Mallards or loons?

I would say mallards, though I don't really know too much about loons (though I'm looney :P )

Remember the song "Disco Duck?"

I remember it well. I was visiting my cousins and we played Disco Duck over and over and over and over, while dancing and bopping to it.

I was in heaven with all the quack sounds. Incidentally, we were constructing a kite with wooden dowels on which we wrote the KISS logo. The kite didn't fly after all our work but the song was fun.

Did you ever leave your cake out in the rain?

I should know the song where that comes from---I'm thinking Carly Simon?

Nope....never left the cake out in the rain.

Do you believe "Anticipation" by Carly Simon was about ketchup?

    I love Carly Simon
She's one of the very few female singers I enjoy (along with Rita Coolidge)

I believe anticipation was about that actor she was married to. The one who was so vain.

Does Rita Coolidge make your brown eyes blue?

I have blue eyes, so they stay blue. I'm not sure if Rita sings that song though.

I love her song "We're all Alone" (Close the window...)

Do you like marshmallows?
