I like the brightly coloured birds, myself.

What do you think about the concept of good and evil?

Evil is a necessary evil.

Same q.

^I agree with this i think, it's the best way to think about it.

Have you ever participated in a contest?

I won a knobbly-knees contest at a holiday camp when I was a kid (yes, in the UK that is really a thing!) - my knees are spectacularly knobbly to this day, even if I do say so myself!
And I won second prize in a local photo competition a few years ago (with this picture <clicky>) - I had to run away quickly after the prize giving because all the strangers wanting to congratulate me completely freaked me out! The prize was a voucher for some wood (the local timber merchants were a sponsor.)

Can you suck boiled sweets (US: hard candy) for ages, or is the temptation to crunch just too much?

I usually crunch when it gets small enough that I can.

What helps to calm you down when you're upset?

A few glasses of wine, though this 'remedy' can occasionally backfire and make things even worse.

The same question.

Solitude, music or books, and my dog.

Have you ever attended an auction?

I've attended an auto auction.

Do you admire how an auctioneer speaks?

I've not been to an auction myself, although I saw a notice for one today. I've heard auctioneers on TV and their speech seems quite overwhelming and hyperactive. I can't process them that quickly (or often at all).

Do you own any left-handed scissors?

Nope.....though if my wife were left-handed, I'd probably get one.

Do you believe Daffy Duck is a fine paradigm of Duckdom?

Daffy is a dandy duck
His feathers always suit him
But everywhere that blackbird goes
Old Elmer wants to shoot him

I prefer mallards.
Quack.

Wow... I'm tired. 8O
I'm grateful Elmer doesn't win.

Do you run with scissors?

On occasion, yes, and sometimes with a quill.

Do you snore?

Dunno. I've had no complaints stating I do.

Same q

When I sleep soundly I whimper, or so I've been told.

During nightmares I thrash quite a bit and have been known to injure those "nearby". That's often been a welcome phenomenon, however, depending upon the situation. 8)

I'm nearly comatose.
Goodnight /day, all.

For those awake:
