it's just H2O. pure, hopefully, no toxins. I like the flavor or lack of flavor. I used to boil water to humidify my apartment in the dry winter. Distilled water leaves nothing behind. The pot was as clean as before I put in the distilled water. Spring water and tap water leave an unpleasant residue. I :heart:
