I thought about it once or twice, during the dark years, [I even got as far as the end of the driveway on one occasion], but there was nowhere to run to.
same question
I got well and truly blagged by my parents when I was eight to go and have a look at a children's care hospital, to see if liked it, which was all going really strangely from the start ~ until several minutes after a nurse came and asked my parents to come into the office. It suddenly hit me what was going on so I legged out of the room, down the stairs, out of the building and chased my parents as they drove away leaving me at the end of the drive ~ completely exhausted, hyperventilating and with the most hollowed out numbness in the centre of my chest. It was cold, grey, misty and drizzling, home was a hundred and more miles away, and I could not see in which direction my parents drove. So I stood there getting wet through, until the groundsman came and escorted me back to the hospital building. He asked me to come back for his sake, as the head matron was more trouble than it was worth, and as I increasingly found out ~ oh my whole life was he right

Were you ever fooled into going along with a parental plan you would never gone along with it if you had known what the plan was?
