^ Thank you.

Glad you didn't see me during the meltdowns and periodically wanting to burn the b***h.
Excuse my language.
I'm Australian.

Omg, I will have to emigrate to Oz.

I love it.

I have so much wood to make things with - I collect it.

Why are you not my neighbour?

Before he moved out, my neighbour used to have early morning tea/coffee with me at the garden table and we would talk about our projects. He gave me a circular saw before he left - we also shared a chainsaw, which is being used by someone else now.

Another friend, who shared my interestes, passed away a few years ago and bought me a reciprocal saw as a thank you for looking after his dogs whilst he was in hospital. I miss him dearly too.

I think I am missing someone who shares my interests?
Perhaps I would feel less depressed and more active if I had a hobby friend to get excited with.

Maybe I will join the men's woodwork group here after all.

^ I used to do a lot more woodworking.
I kind of struggle with it now.

They have men's sheds here, but I know I would be a liability if I joined.
I think you should definitely give it a go.
There's also maker spaces if you have any there.

What kind of things do you make?

I usually make things for the greenhouse or garden.

Upcycling is my thing.

I want to make more things from scratch especially structures for my plants.

I have some copper pipe, aluminium I want to combine with wood.

Perhaps I will make a trellis with the aluminium and wood?

But for now I am off to get that parasol I soooooo need.

Also, I was amazed at how low to the ground pineapples grow - I thought they grew in high trees.

Pineapples take like 3 years to grow.

Temeraire...you’re a whiz at things. I hope you are happy today.

I am doing pretty well really, thanks.

I hope you are lapping up all the new experiences in Iceland.

If I were there I would definitely eat the lamb stew. (not the other weird stuff).

Even though you are many miles away from home you still manage to keep in touch, I am pleased you do.

:D

You may be thinking of pandanus, Tem.

They're much more fibrous and not nearly as pleasant.

Pineapples grown from the tops take between 18 months to 2 years.

Most of the island bench was made from recycled materials, except for the top as it had to be safe for contact with food.

It would have been marvellous - perhaps next time.

I can't help thinking it was a good opportunity though, only being about an hours drive away.

So you didn't go back via ship then? I don't blame you, ships are not my thing :pale: :eew:

Past performance is not an indication of future results

We'll walk you through it, if you like.

Lets help Kraftie upload pics? Yeah!

We can do it together Mr Kraftie as there are so many talented members of our clan here.

One step at a time.

I have just found out why I though pineapples grew high up - such an educational thread as well as warm.

Mr Raleigh you have far more to offer than you give yourself credit for. I wish you would celebrate that more often.

Do you have any image hosting apps?
If not, you can use imgbb or tinypic.
