Sometimes check-ups can be misguiding and give a false sense of wellness.

There is a flip side to everything no matter what your choice.

I am with Mr Ferris - 2 hr afternoon nap revives me from near death.

It would actually make more sense and less man power to bug / record everyone and only access those files when someone has been accused of a MAJOR crime, not minor mind you but MAJOR. That was you have the files but you only need to review them if its needed.

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Your heart only good for so many beats, and that it... Don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.

Something else crossed my mind. When people are in good shape from running and or exercising, it lowers their resting heart beats to as low as 60 per minute. The less active a person is the faster their heart beats per minute. I believe the average for someone moderately active is 72 bpm. So revving up the heart to 120 bpm for 30 minutes to get it to 60 bpm the other 23.5 hours is the opposite of wearing it out.

60 bpm @ 24 hrs = 86,400.
72 bpm @ 24 hrs = 103,680.

running can cause fibrosis, or scarring of heart tissue , exercise can weaken heart muscles – predisposing you to a condition called “ventricular arrhythmia”
Plus it will all even itself out when you have f****d your knees or feet from running and the depression kicks in because you are not getting your endorphin fix. ( I am not trying to argue with you about exercise being beneficial , I am arguing because I have an answer for everything :P <----hopefully not famous last words  )

It is ok Mr Ferris - I roar and flame throw into the air for effect.

I actually enjoy the chase and leave them unharmed as does my dog. :D

Saveferris, I had shared that joke (sent to me) on the forum MakeupAlley which I have been part of since High school.

They immediately derided ME as racist (the joke was not about race I kept telling them!) and one lady falsely accused me of ‘posting racist things in the past’ etc

I hate NT’s for their pile-on tactics

Sleep and exercise help, but genes are really the determining factor in longevity.

The ironic thing with the idea of extra sleeping to prolong life is that the extra time you get is minimized by the extra time you're asleep.

I hadn’t thought of that. Although if you had mainly good or interesting action-pAcked dreams, one could argue it was better than ‘real life’

What ? the Doctor meme about taking naps ?
I thought it was real and an actual quote. If it's a joke then I can see how it might be considered racist due to the broken English used which has it's roots in mockery.
I don't think it's racist but that doesn't mean it isn't , pretty much everything is racist to some people , maybe I'm just a big closet racist :jester:
It's a fine line and it someone called me racist for that post , I'd remove it and apologise as it was not meant that way.
