When I was in the USAF in the 70s I was stationed on Okinawa. Because the island was so prone to cyclones (it is the same thing as a hurricane in the Atlantic) it was mandated all telephone and power poles had to be made of reinforced concrete. Why can't they do the same in Florida?

My roommate doesn't know me well enough to know that whatever one does, one should never leave me alone with a pie.

It's gonna be a long evening just looking at this thing

In the next 5 years or so, if this phone is future proofed enough, my next new phone would be a main dumb phone only for transferring or viewing files and communication.

Barb is going to be moving into Murrayville Manor. I don't want her moving into Murrayville Manor. I want her to stay in my building.

The person that controls or decides what news stories to show on national TV has a lot of power.

I'm trying to figure when I want to run tonight. I have a long run I need to do. I want to make sure my stomach is fully settled, and I'm properly hydrated. Also want to make sure my phone is charged. I should be running well over two hours and I want music for that. I'm kinda dreading this but it's my last long run before the race and I have to do it. All I really want to do though is curl up under a blanket with a cup of warm tea and get my mellow on. Ah well, that'll be later then I suppose. Maybe give it another half hour then get to it.

Good luck on the race.

Yeah I hope found some motivation

I certainly did, thank you. I got my ten miles in. Now I can get back to easier runs for the next two weeks. I'm glad about that.

My new Sony Walkman MP3 player has driven me a bit mad today. Why does everything have to be so complicated these days?

Have got it up and running now. It uses Android which makes it difficult to connect to a Windows PC.

Won't it let you just connect it as a drive and then drag and drop files to a location on it?

Nope, my old walkman used to do that so I was expecting this one to be the same. I've managed to transfer files using Windows Media player and I'm listening to Spotify now on it via wifi.

What a regression. It sounds more like Windows 98 days than current days.

If it's using Android you might be able to go into the settings and change how it connects. When I plug my Android phone in it connects in a weird non-useful way but if I go into the settings I can change it so it behaves like a USB drive, then i can drag and drop mp3s. Might be worth a look.

To get access to the USB connectivity type settings you need developer options activated.
Can you do that on a player?

I'm pretty sure I got a popup the first time I connected my phone to my computer, no developer options involved.
