I wish I had that assurance. I can't bear the thought of having to get through another 50+ years. Assuming I'm still alive then, when my parents are no longer around to care, that's it, I'm done. Pretty much just sticking around so my decision won't hurt them at all. I sure wouldn't complain about something beyond my control were to end my life sooner, though.

I think everything is pretty much fear of the future.
Like, we think the future will be how we imagine it to be, but really we have no way of knowing how things will turn out even the next day.
Harder still for autistics, as we like things to be predictable.
